As part of our ongoing collaboration with schools and the elderly, we have a new incentive for the new school term. Throughout the last year, we have been connecting the elderly and school children by a series of small initiatives such as garden tea parties and helping people with technology. We teamed up with students from Headington School at the end of the term. The students decorated the garden with paper poms, before the rains came in!
Another local school, St Edwards were involved in a meeting of minds, where advice were swapped between the generations.
Students would ask questions about how would the elderly use their devices, and offer further incentives on how technology could improve their lives.
Advice would be swapped between generation, it wasn’t just a one-way thing!
Avril, Silver Robins founder discusses what we are trying to achieve.
Technology does not need to be overwhelming! This successful connection with St Edwards last term was so well received, that we held a second opportunity for a new incentive with St Edwards school.
